Meet Lianne

Psychotherapist, programme creator… and someone who understands why finding your way home to yourself can take time

I’m Lianne Crofts, a BACP-registered Psychotherapist and the creator of Coming Home to Yourself — a sixteen-week programme for neurodivergent women who have grown up feeling criticised, blamed, misunderstood or somehow fundamentally “wrong”.

My work is rooted in professional experience, careful research and lived understanding. I know that healing is rarely a neat, linear journey — particularly when you have spent years adapting yourself around other people’s expectations, questioning your own perceptions or carrying shame that never truly belonged to you.

You will not be expected to arrive here polished, confident or certain. You are welcome exactly as you are.

Why this work matters to me

I created Coming Home to Yourself because I understand what it is to grow up feeling criticised, misunderstood and somehow fundamentally wrong — and how deeply those early messages can shape the way we see ourselves.

As a late-diagnosed autistic and ADHD woman, I also understand the exhaustion of trying to fit expectations that were never designed with your unique brain, needs or nervous system in mind. For many neurodivergent women, healing is not simply about “moving on” from the past. It is about slowly recognising what happened, separating our own voice from the voices we absorbed and discovering that we were never the problem we were led to believe we were.

This programme grew from that understanding: the kind gained through professional training, many hours of therapeutic work, careful, in-depth research and lived experience.

What I bring to this work

I am a BACP-registered Psychotherapist with experience supporting adults and young people through trauma, anxiety, shame, family difficulties, neurodivergence and the long-term effects of feeling unseen or unsafe. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I also worked in adult education — experience which continues to shape the clear, accessible and carefully structured way I share ideas.

Alongside my professional training, I bring lived understanding of autism, ADHD, difficult family dynamics and the often complicated work of breaking cycles. I do not believe lived experience automatically gives anyone all the answers; but I do believe it can create a particular kind of recognition — one that says, “You do not need to convince me that this is real.”

Private Psychotherapy

Alongside Coming Home to Yourself, I offer individual psychotherapy for adults and young people aged 13 and over. You may be looking for a private space to explore something painful, feeling uncertain about joining a group or simply needing support that can respond to whatever is most present for you right now.

Sessions are available in person in Bromsgrove, online or by telephone. You do not need to know exactly where to begin — a free thirty-minute introductory conversation gives us the opportunity to meet, talk about what you need and decide whether working together feels right.
